Virtual Mobility (VM) Grants
What is a Virtual Mobility Grant?
A Virtual Mobility (VM) Grant is a financial support instrument for researchers and innovators. It allows them to foster collaboration in a virtual setting, exchange knowledge, learn new techniques, and work on joint projects without needing to travel. These grants support activities that contribute to the scientific objectives of the DSS4ES COST Action activities and allows to support specific and general topics related to the tasks and deliverables.
What is Funded?
A VM Grant is a fixed grant awarded for a specific collaborative activity. The grant is intended to support the time and effort dedicated to virtual collaboration. For calls within the DSS4ES Action, grants of up to €1500 per person are typically available, depending on the specific work plan and available budget.
Application Process (for Candidates)
Please note that Virtual Mobility Grants within DSS4ES must fit directly to the scope of one or more Working Groups of the COST Action and specifically contribute to one or more of its objectives as defined in the DSS4ES MoU. Therefore there is not an open call for Virtual Mobility Grants, candidates are either requested to contact Working Group Leaders in order to identify options, how to support specific tasks that are crucial to the Action's objectives or candidates are invited by Core Group Members of DSS4ES to support the implementation of research coordination related activities that do not necessarily require in person presence.
The VM Grant’s start and end dates must fall within a single active DSS4ES Action Grant Period (no overlap across two consecutive Grant Periods).
